This past Sabbath, 76 Pathfinder Bible Experience (PBE) teams from across the Columbia Union Conference gathered at Takoma Academy in Takoma Park, Md., for Columbia Union’s PBE.

Before the testing portion of the event, Sherilyn O’Ffill, event coordinator, told the participants, “No matter what else happens today, you have already succeeded. You have spent at least two months studying two books, [Romans and 1 Corinthians], of the Bible.”

Join us March 5 at noon for a time of prayer and praise—with a special emphasis on acceptance, peace and healing in our lives and the world. We’ll also hear from Ohio Conference leaders on how God is using Pentecost 2025 to bless their territory. Bring your prayer requests so we can pray over them together.

Part of the long to-do list every administrator and Human Resource (HR) and Communication professional has is handling crisis situations. This week’s Columbia Union Secretariat/HR and Communication training themed, “Putting the Pieces Together,” provided resources for this inevitable part of the job.

The 2025 Columbia Union Conference calendar emphasizes prayer, using inspiring Bible verses and quotes from Ellen White.  

“We hope the pages of the calendar will serve as a handbook—providing prompts and inspiration that will aid and guide through this collective commission to pray,” says Kelly Butler Coe, calendar and Visitor editor.   

Each month, the calendar will include a Columbia Union and Pentecost 2025 “Prayer Focus” in which members are invited to include in their prayer time.

Members of the Columbia Union Conference Executive Committee met Thursday for their last meeting in 2024.
